The West Point Boxing Club will present a boxing demonstration on Saturday,September 19, 2015
The Illinois State Crime Commission is pleased to announce that the West Point Boxing Club, the top ranked boxing team of the United States Military Academy, will be presenting a boxing demonstration on Saturday,September 19, 2015 at Leo Catholic High School t 7901 S. Sangamon Street in Chicago.
From Noon to 3:00 PM, the boxers will also be presenting a clinic with the students at Leo on boxing techniques, college education, trades and military careers.
According to Police Athletic League member Mike Joyce, 100% of the students that have participated in the PAL/ISCC boxing program attend college, go on to military careers, or seek a career in the trade programs. This is a great credit to the staff at Leo High School and the many fine young men that attend the school and participate in this program.
The West Point athletes will also be presenting a program and fund raiser at 6:30 PM at the Beverly Woods Restaurant at 116th Avenue and Western Avenue in Chicago. A cocktail hour starts at 6:30 PM with dinner and a program following.
